Appointments – St Margarets Medical Practice

All of our surgeries are run by appointment only.

We offer same day appointments Monday – Friday which are booked from 8.30am either by telephone or in person. There are limited pre-bookable appointments that can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance (in times of extreme demand this may be suspended). If the doctor then feels they need to assess you in person you will be invited to attend after the initial telephone triage appointment. You are still required to wear a face covering when entering our practice (unless proof of exemption is shown) as we want to continue to keep our patients and staff safe at all times.

The Doctors at the practice work as a medical team, so you are free to see any doctor, we would however encourage you to see the same doctor consistently where possible.

Our Practice Nurse team are seeing patients face to face following the strict COVID protocol set out by our local CCG, so, if you are due cervical screening, immunisations, dressing, blood tests etc please contact us to arrange an appointment. We will advise you at the time of booking of the process prior to attending.

Chaperone

If you would like a chaperone during your consultation, please ask when you arrive at surgery and this will be arranged.

Home visits

To request a home visit, please contact the surgery before 11.00am if possible. The receptionist may ask you about your illness in order to help the doctor assess the urgency of your call, so please give as much information as you can. Home visits are usually carried out after either Morning or Evening Surgery.
